Sibikwa Arts Centre facilitates short skills courses aimed at community arts practitioners.
At the beginning of April a further course will begin, which will be based on two CATHSSETA Nationally recognised Unit Standards. One focuses on developing an original performance piece, which will highlight dance. The other unit standard will be in drama, training learners to direct performances. Learners will be required to complete both Unit Standards.
The training will take place at Sibikwa’s premises in Benoni and will last for two months, from 1 April 2019 to 25 May 2019.
There are a few spaces still available on this course and young people with 3-5 years’ experience in performance or those with a recognised qualification are invited to apply. Closing date for applications is 26 March 2019 by close of business.
