Which Language Must I Use to be heard in South Africa?

“Black people, sometimes we really are our own worst enemies…some of us have no respect for other people’s languages and cultures,” she said.

The issue about language(s) in South Africa is an invaluable one. With eleven (11)official language(s) that are declared to be official in the country it seems like we are losing the battle against respecting each other. There has been allegations about people who seems adamant to learn and respect other people’s languages.

It seems like people have lost interest in the learning and understanding for other languages rather than embracing their own. There are few incidents in the country with people seeking to be heard and or addressed in their own language, and if you do not do that they cry foul that they do not hear you.
