Margarita Shrainer performs the role of Swanilda in The Bolshoi Ballet’s COPPÉLIA along with Principal dancer Artem Ovcharenko as Franz and Alexei Loparevich as Coppélius. Restaged by Sergei Vikharev, this unique version of COPPÉLIA exhibits a fascinating reconstruction of the original choreography in an effervescent production.

Swanhilda notices her fiancee Franz is infatuated with the beautiful Coppélia who sits reading on her balcony each day. Nearly breaking up the two sweethearts, Coppelia is not what she seems and Swanhilda decides to teach Franz a lesson….

Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica), Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game, Frankenstein at the National Theatre) takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy in National Theatre Live’s HAMLET. As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. Press comments include “Benedict Cumberbatch is a blazing five-star Hamlet.” – Daily Telegraph and “One of the most visually and atmospherically stunning productions Ive ever seen, of anything, ever.” – Time Out.

Principal dancers Ekaterina Krysanova and Semyon Chudin perform in the Bolshoi Ballet’s DON QUIXOTE with panache and sparkling technique in the company’s critically acclaimed staging of this exalting performance. Inspired by heroic stories of brave knights, Don Quixote of La Mancha and his faithful servant Sancho Panza set out on an adventure to meet his ideal woman, Dulcinea. Krysanova and Chudin lead the spectacular cast of toreadors, flamenco dancers, gypsies, and dryads in virtuosic dancing that is quintessential Bolshoi.
