JOHANNESBURG – Award-winning film and television actress Hlubi Mboya-Arnold says shes just finished shooting a crime drama television series, where she plays a lead role.
She says this role is refreshing for her as she has always wanted to be a female lead character in the industry that is dominated by men.
Mboya says she’s found that women have to work three times as hard to be in equal settings with men in the industry. How unfortunate this is!!
The social justice activist also chats about scholarship opportunities for South Africans interested in learning film production at a state-of-the-art campus in the heart of Cape Town.
Mboya started her acting career at an early years at ISIDINGO where she played the character of Nandipha Matabane. It is in that role where she has made a name for herself in the film and acting fraternities.
Hopefuly, Hlubi is heading for a good career in acting as she is a determined person who give her all to the assignment entrusted to her.
