A lot of viewers have been asking why Futhi and Zakithi look identical with some even speculating that the characters are played by the same actress. Read on to learn more about the twins that are making waves on our daily drama.
1. Nokwanda plays the Oswenka-obsessed Futhi, while Nokubonga is causing havoc as the feisty Zakithi at Maluju Oil.
2. Nokwanda and Nokubonga were born and bred in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal.
3. The twins were born 5 minutes apart, but both declare themselves older than the other.
4. They have travelled the world as part of the Lion King international tour. Nokwanda was based in Brazil and Shanghai, while Nokubonga was based in Las Vegas, Hamburg, London and Taipei.
5. Did you know that actress Vuyokazi Tshona, who plays Buhle, is also a twin? Her sister’s name is Vuyelwa Tshona and she recently returned to South Africa from Manila, Philippines where she was also an actress and singer for Disney’s Lion King international tour.
